If you've experienced an Anxiety or Panic attack, you may be wondering what the hell has hit you!
Especially if you've never heard of the term in your life! you might even think you're having a heart attack or that you're going to die because your heart is beating so fast and you can't breathe.
But don't worry, it won't kill you... and you're not going insane...
…It's just your mind playing tricks on you.
But what caused it?
It could be something that's going on in your life that you don't want to think about and when you try to block it out, you end up having a panic attack. Or it could be something that's happened in your life that you feel you have no control over.
Here are some examples of what can set a panic attack off:
- The loss of a loved one
- The breakup of a relationship
- Giving up drinking or smoking can be triggers
- Being fired from your job
- Being alone at night
- Holding your breath and shallow breathing
- Excessive worrying
- Projecting your fears about things that may never happen
- Not getting enough Quality Sleep
Knowledge is key to getting help
There are so many things you can do to help yourself get through this and I'll tell you about my favorite product on the subject in a minute...
Now, you've probably already visited your local G.P. and that's a good move, just to check if there are any underlying health problems.
Your doctor may prescribe any number of over the counter drugs, like sedatives or Anti-Depressants. Some of the most common Benzodiazepines are...
While they can be effective short term, you have to be careful you don't get addicted to these medications.
They can have dreadful adverse side effects on your life and the way you behave, they can even cause mood swings, foggy brain and aggressive behaviour.
Sedatives can leave you feeling tired the next morning. It's not a good "natural" sleep.
The natural route is the best one to follow, that way you won't be replacing one problem with another.
CBD (marijuana oil) may help to calm you down while you work through what is causing your anxiety. It's all natural and it doesn't have the "high" that people think it does, the "high" is caused through taking THC. (Tetrahydrocannabinol)
Here's an explanation on the different between CBD and THC
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) are the two primary Cannabinoids that occur naturally in the Cannabis sativa plant, commonly known as Cannabis. THC is the main psychoactive component of the Cannabis plant.
Both of these substances interact with the cannabinoid receptors found in the human body and brain, but they differ dramatically in their effects.
CBD is non-psychoactive which means that you will not get the "high" from CBD alone.
It's safe alternative and it will help to keep you calm.
You will also sleep much better at night.
Panic attacks while driving...
This is quite common, sometimes you'll be driving along in your car, not really thinking about anything in particular, you get stuck in traffic, you start to stress out, then the next thing you know you can't breathe!!
Your heart is racing along with your mind and you feel out of control.
The best thing to do is to turn your air conditioning on really cold and let the cool air hit your face, this will help you to breathe.
Take deep breaths in for the count of four and out for the count of eight. This will send more oxygen to your brain. Pull over if you can until you can get yourself back on track, ring a friend to talk you through it.
There are many great natural products out there that can help you.
- There are sound tracks that you can listen to when you're going off to sleep to quieten the mind, they are most helpful.
- You can also use Hypnotherapy, this will help you deal with the symptoms and help you work through the underlying cause.
- You could visit a Therapist and work through the cause of it.
But the best thing that I've found so far to help is a very special product that has helped thousands of people already. You can read their testimonials and judge for yourself.
